Spring is in the air… and in my garden. The snow has finally cleared from the darkest recesses of the back yard and today some pink blossoms can be seen on yet another unknown plant in my front yard!. Things are definitely looking up on all fronts. As has been reported in local media, February saw an uptick in reported sales through the Vancouver Real Estate Board and further afield. Open homes continue to be very busy with an obvious consumer profile… first time buyer couples. With kids and pre-approved mortgages in hand, they’ve been beating the streets and banging on doors for the past few weekends. It’s exciting to finally see an opportunity for these first timers to get a piece of the action in Canada's most reported and previously unaffordable housing market.

Lynn Valley - North Shore living at its best

I was driving along Marine Drive today and spotted this slogan....” Vancouver’s North Shore - Where nature lives” This motto is no better represented than in the neighbourhoods of Lynn Valley.  Lynn Valley is situated at the foot of Fromme Mountain one of North Vancouver’s most popular mountain playgrounds.  Bordered by Lynn Creek to the east and tree line to the north, following any number of the northbound roads will bring you to a labyrinth of trailswhere all the fun begins.

The sporting, social and community activities that sit on the door step of a Lynn Valley resident are as endless as they are diverse. Fromme Mountain is world renown as being the birthplace of “Shore Riding” and the continued evolution of mountain biking since its early beginnings in the 90’s. Not a weekend goes by that a constant trickle of free ride fanatics aren’t crawling their way up the roads leading to the trails and trestles’ hidden amongst the giant cedars.
